Building fire - Cottenham - South Cambs

On Wednesday (29) at 10.54pm, crews from Cottenham, Ely and Cambridge responded to a building fire on Smithy Fen, Cottenham.

Crews arrived to find a fire at a house under construction.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police by visiting www.cambs.police.uk to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Crews returned to their stations by 12.15pm.
